The 1st International Conference on Forestry Science and Technology Innovation and the Forum on Forestry Journal Development will be held in Changchun, Jilin, China, from June 26 to 29, 2026. The conference will bring together leading scholars and experts in forestry from around the world to engage in discussions on frontier scientific issues and key technological innovations in the field. It aims to promote the exchange and sharing of high-level research achievements, build a high-level international academic platform, and foster global dialogue and collaboration in forestry research.

The conference will focus on major research themes, including forest resources and ecosystems, forestry biotechnology, smart forestry, and digital transformation. Renowned experts, journal Editors-in-Chief, and editorial board members from home and abroad will be invited to discuss emerging disciplinary trends and new models of scholarly communication, thereby advancing the coordinated development of scientific innovation and forestry journal publishing.

The conference will be chaired by Professor Hairong Wei of Michigan Technological University, Professor Shihui Niu of Beijing Forestry University, Professor Chunyang Li of Zhejiang University, and Professor Huaiqing Zhang of the Institute of Forest Resource Information Techniques, Chinese Academy of Forestry. Professor Xiyang Zhao, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of Jilin Changbai Mountain Forest Industry Group Co., Ltd., will serve as Co-Chair.
